Simon Williams

HSBC Chief Economist, CEEMEA

Simon Williams is HSBC’s Chief Economist for Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Simon joined HSBC in 2006 as chief economist for MENA in Dubai, returning to London in 2014 to lead the bank’s economics research on the CEEMEA region. He has 20 years' experience as a country analyst and emerging market economist.

James Pomeroy

HSBC Senior Global Economist

James is a global economist at HSBC. He joined the Economics team in 2013 and much of his work focuses on longer-term trends and themes, and the impact that they have on the economy and policy decisions today. Much of his work is focused on demographic data and trends, which extends to consumer trends, urbanisation and technology adoption.

Dominic Bunning

HSBC Head of FX Research, Europe

Dominic is a senior FX strategist, based in London, where he has covered both G10 and CEEMEA currencies since March 2015. Previously he had spent five years at HSBC in Hong Kong covering Emerging Asian currencies. Dominic joined the bank on the Global Research Graduate Programme, and in his early career he worked in MENA equity research and as a junior FX strategist covering G10 currencies. Dominic graduated from Bath University with a BSc in Economics.
